For 2009, the 2-door, 5-passenger Honda Civic Coupe is restyled with a new front fascia, taillights, wheel design and seat materials. Civic DX, LX and EX models are powered by a 1.8L four-cylinder engine that produces 140 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque with a five-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed automatic. Civics equipped with the standard 1.8L engine and the automatic transmission share an EPA estimate of 25 mpg city/36 mpg hwy and 29 mpg combined. Honda Civic safety equipment includes antilock brakes, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and active front head restraints.
